My name is Jason and I am originaly from FL then moved to VA now in Jacksonville, NC. I am in the Marine Corps Reserve and between deployments I have earned my LPN.I am interested in any good jobs in this area?
Also, my wife has been a Navy Corpsman for over 5 years and would like to challenge a board to become an LPN as well. Does anyone know of any state that will allow this?
Thanks,
Jason
Hello, Jason,:Melody:
No. In order to be licensed as an LPN, the individual must complete the required courses of a full nursing program.
Yes, the STATE OF CALIFORNIA accepts NAVY CORPSMAN training but you have to have MEDICAL SURGICAL OR INPATIENT BACKGROUND for at least ONE YEAR. I am challenging the BOARD and taking the test soon. Check this website for the requirements www.bvnpt.ca.gov HOPE THIS HELPS!
