Hey everyone!
I created this forum for nurses applying to Midwestern University's CRNA program starting in 2023. Excited to connect!

In my experience that seems pretty typical with other applications that I have seen where the clinicals are out of state. I personally have not come across one that says they will cover lodging.
So I would say that it is not a dealbreaker for me. One of the main reasons I’m applying here is because their program is a top 20 school and I’ve heard from students who have graduated from their program that the education the provide there is phenomenal which is really important to me! However, I will say because of that additional expense there are two schools that I am applying for that are higher on my wish list than Midwestern.
Im curious how others feel?

Wow that’s very reassuring to know that it’s the top 20 and hearing feedback from students who went there. Speaking of other schools, I attended a conference and South Carolina university if I’m not mistaken do provide lodging for students. They pair them up for clinical and provide lodging. Their clinical sites are 1 to 2 hours away with only one out of state clinical site so I think some schools do provide but I’m assuming they include that in the tuition.

Right and FranU provides grants and tries to pair up students to split costs during clinical when they have to travel.
however, to answer the question, paying for lodging isn’t a deal breaker for me.

Congrats! Where in the portal did you see the invite? Did you also get an email with the invitation?
