Midwestern University CRNA Applicants 2024

Super nervous! Midwestern University is officially the first school I have truly submitted to and hoping to get in. 

Stats: 

• 6 years ICU: neuro, trauma, surgical, medical 
• GPA 3.83 with some grad level courses 
• Science GPA is about 3.5- so a little low

I think if you didn't receive an email saying you were placed on the alternate list then that's your rejection unfortunately. Not sure if they send out specific emails for rejection rather just don't get back to you..

If there are people who decline their offer by todays deadline when do you think they will make calls from the alternate list?

Did they happen to say if there would be a date they would start working down the waitlist and notifying alternates?

They made it sound like my chances of getting in were really low, so I didn't bother to ask.

Were you placed on the alternate list? If so, I think your chances are the same as everyone on that list. If there's a few spots to fill then your chances are the same since they said the list isn't ranked in any way..

To be honest, at this point, I would treat it as a rejection and start applying to other programs. The cohort is set, but people can withdraw at any time, even a week before the start day, so you can still have hope until that day if you want to wait.
