U.S.A. Texas

Hi!

I was just wondering if anybody else has applied to Midwestern State University for Spring 2012??

If so, have you guys heard anything yet?!

Thanks!

Is anyone here almost done with the program, I have been chosen for the spring 2012 nursing class at MSU school of nursing , however I would like to know how is the environment , the tenacity of the program. Is it a well recognized program in the job Market, how most likely will it be easy for a future employer to recruit a nurse from this school, Thank you

When did you find out raiza67??

Just remember, you may want to get in and get out like I want to, but choosing the right school for you can make the biggest difference. You want to attend somewhere that's affordable for you, recommended, and has a great support system of staff and team members. The professors and staff can either make or break you.

I was going to go to mwsu for another degree program but I moved to San Antonio. I thought the school was a great school but I didn't have anyone to verify it.

At Neekola, i e-mailed Mrs R C. as i have been doing for a while back then, she told me on wednesday but they made the decision since last week. So she said letters will be coming in. the next few weeks

So according to you if you went there is MSU a good school for nursing, is the Staff helpful, ik for one tuition is affodable. But the school is it recomended?

Not sure, I moved from Mass down to Texas and one of my reasons for picking msu was because they were soooo affordable, even for out of state tuition. But I went to UTSA instead.

Ok I see, do you know anyone who can give me some info on the school, because i've read, the program is not good, minorities have a hard time and everything, because i am trying to see if I should just wait again to apply to another school which has a good program for fall, in the meantime i do sth else and prepare well my hesi especially anatomy portion. Or i start my first two semesters, and if transferable transfer to the school i will apply to for next year. What do you think

I know. Prettyladie mentioned the above about the not so good things about the program. I understand you wanting to start already as I'm dying to start my nursing program, yet alone apply ! :) but it depends on your situation. If you have all your prereqs done for nursing programs then I'd start and not waste any time. If you research and see theres a better fit program for you then I'd wait it out. If msu is indeed a bad school to go to you don't want you experience to be dreadful and regretful. Have you applied for any programs for the Fall 2012?

Also if relocating isn't a problem there are plenty of great programs out in tx. If you want to stick in a certain area then options may be limited.

Well the thing is i am done by the end of this fall with my pre-requisites for nursing. I don't know lol thinking about the hassle i've gone thru to even get to admitted to that school angers me. I'll talk to some of my relatives who r in the field if i can transfer i'll do one semster to start and finish up somewhere else, or i just wait for another 7 months or so.

lol when you've spent some much energy trying to accomplish something only to change your mind it'll make you mad. lol. Oh ok I wouldn't want to wait, I'd want to start asap. If you do decide to do a semester and transfer many schools require a letter from the pres of the nursing dept stating you're in good academic standing. I think you should get started. Or at least that's what I would do. Go there with a clear mind, be determined and do your best. If the professors are of no use and you're a student that likes thorough profs maybe it won't be the best option. But you won't know until you get there. the things prettyladie said may very well be true, But who knows, maybe those professors won't be there when you get there, maybe things will change(highly unlikely). But you know will know once you experience it for yourself.

I personally want to go to a school that has a good rep and the students are in love with their school. that they have the ability to contact their profs anytime and they're willing to help out no matter what.
