I am relocating to the Midland/Odessa area next month....I just found out today that my husband is getting transferred. I just graduated RN school this week with an associates and start my online BSN through a university here in Oklahoma in August. I will be licensed in Oklahoma but I am applying for endorsement as soon as I receive my license. I have been looking today at jobs in the area. Does anyone know what the job market is like for new grads in the area, especially if they are from out of state?

The housing situation makes me want to decline the offer. I just don't have it in me to struggle financially for the 2 years that I will be there. My girlfriend would be coming with me and I'd be taking my dog as well. One bedroom apartments are still in the price range of half a month's income based on the going RN rate there in Midland. I know they said they were working on temporary housing for us. But i'm not even sure that would alleviate the issue. The waitlists are a few months long and it costs money just to apply to these waitlists in many places.
