Starting a thread for the 2025 application cycle. Has anyone else applied?

Not an early interview here but the "normal. There were four interview days offered, and what I remember the days started at 7:45 AM being the first interview slot to 7:00 PM being the last slot, and slots were available in fifteen minute intervals. As of now 3 out of 4 days have filled up, with 6 slots available on the remaining day. I don't see how they could interview all day from 7:45 to 7 pm without breaks, but from what I remember there were interview slots for every 15 minute interval for those 11 hours. For a day to fill up, that would mean they are interviewing 44 people a day, one person every fifteen minutes. That seems like a.) a ton of applicants and b.) really long hours for the interview committee and a ton of work to interview that many people in a day. This has made me more nervous.
For those who also signed up for any interview, do you remember anything different? Were there hours blocked off that I don't remember?

They have this on their website so I was curious. "
What is an "early interview?”
An early interview may be considered for applicants meeting the following minimum criteria: Minimum 3.5 science GPA, minimum 150 GRE score (quantitative), minimum 150 GRE score (verbal), minimum two (2) years of ICU experience, current CCRN certification. Applicants interested in the possibility of an early interview must apply via NursingCAS by March 15 to be considered.”

Thanks. I was referencing your question about how "many are being interviewed for 'late/normal' spots". I was just sharing my experience with the "normal" interview days for this cycle. Four days that we could sign up for a time to interview, up to 44 slots each day. (7:45 AM to 7 pm in 15 minute intervals). With how many interviews are left, you can estimate how many have signed up to interview. Anything can happen though. Maybe they close a day off even before it's filled, just based on a certain number who have signed up for that day. Or maybe they interview the whole day. Anything's possible.

Oh okay I'm sorry for the mistake. 44 people a day is a lot. Hopefully not body got an early interview. Cause those are good chances for us if they didn't. 44x 4 = 176 and they take up to 72 people. That would be nice. LOL.

I was an early interview candidate and admitted for the January 2025 cohort. There were 2 dates back in April where they interviewed all the early interview applicants. Each day was full of candidates anywhere from 8am-6pm 15 minute increments. I don't know how many received admission, but I do know that if someone from an early interview did not interview well, then they did not receive a 'no' instead they would be invited back with regular interviews to interview again.

Congratulations that's awesome!

How was the interview? Was it pretty intense? More clinical or emotional intelligence questions?
Hello everyone, to those that are currently waiting to interview I wish you all good luck! To those that have already interviewed and been accepted into the Class of 2027 cohort, I am posting a link to a Facebook page for students to connect. Thank you!

RN1106 said:They could ask you to tell them about a sick/challenging patient. It's up to you to have your patient in mind and ready to talk about. You can steer the interview yourself but you must prepare. If you mention something, be prepared to be asked more about it. Know your normal lab values, protocols (protocols are v important!), any type of shock you might see with your patient, anything you need to look for or consider if something goes wrong say during a procedure. Any med you mention, know about how it works on a cellular level and why you would use it. Other questions I've heard they ask are how you have prepared financially/personally. What is your support system like, etc. Also I've heard they could ask you anything you mentioned in your essay. Good luck!
Thank you for this information my friend. I've also got an interview at MTSA next month. Really hoping it goes well. I am waiting on a different school down in Florida to see if they want me or not, they'll let me know in August. I am so incredibly excited and nervous to be even potentially considered for this type of program. Good luck to everyone 🙂
