Hey everyone. From the hx of the school does anyone know how long they usually wait before they start getting people from the alternate list? The email said up do December 1st. I really up they don't have us waiting that long 😩. I am hopelessly dying over here.

I know of people that have come off the waitlist for mtsa in October in the past. I know a pretty decent chunk of their class comes off the waitlist. Wish I had more info for ya. But keep the hope alive.

I just got the call! I got off of the wait list! 😭

OMG yayyy. Congratulations to you 🎊. That must be such a relief. I hope I get a call soon as well 🤞.

Hey just an odd question but is the CRNA DNP projects at MTSA a group project or is it individual?

I heard it was a group project! Seems a bit better than doing it alone I bet?

Hey anyone know when MTSA will give us more information regarding school and clinical and schedule etc...?

I know at the interview they gave us a paper saying we would hear from financial at the end of August. I haven't heard anything yet

anyone waitlisted know if they'll be sending out official rejection letters or is it assumed we know because we didn't hear anything by December 1st?

CONGRATS to everyone that got in!! I would love some words of encouragement after putting off applying anywhere for the past 5 yrs 😩 Last year I stopped traveling PACU, to go back to the ICU because my previous ICU exp is "too old". I am currently in a high level MSICU in a large city, I'm a preceptor, and do CRRT, we just don't do the cardiac devices, they go to our cardiac units. With that being said, did anyone get in that DOES NOT have cardiac/level 1 Trauma units experience and a lower end GPA? I am trying to stay optimistic that all my surgical/PACU experience and being an older student will help me during the interview process. I am just worried that I won't even get the chance to get there. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated! 💜

Hey man. I was accepted with about 3.5-4 years of MICU experience. I feel like alot of people praise only CVICU but we get a good deal of crazy stuff in the MICU. The people at MTSA are really nice. If you can land an interview just study up and be yourself, they really are awesome people. Goodluck my friend!

Thanks so much for that! I went to do a tour and had a really great experience with everyone! I was told "I don't worry about you killing the interview at all" LOL You know we all are our own worst critics, so I'm trying to stay optimistic on my chances of getting an interview for this upcoming year.

Don't give up! I got in here and I had 2.5 years ER experience at level 2 trauma and 3 years Neuro ICU. My questions were aimed at Neuro ICU things however I set the stage for my questions. I didn't say anything about things I didn't know 100%. I mentioned drugs that I KNEW very well. I loved my interview here but accepted a spot at UAB instead because of costs. I am staying with family for free the first year in Bham. And cheaper overall tuition for me since it's in state. Otherwise I would have chosen MTSA! I think your overall confidence from many years of experience will help you out. You got this!
