Middle Georgia State University Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I created this thread because I found the previous threads bout the ASN and BSN at MGA to be very helpful and wanted to start a similar post for the upcoming Spring 2021 ASN/BSN program. Who has already applied and if you feel like sharing what were your stats? If anyone has previously been accepted, please feel free to share your thoughts, experiences and advice for us aspiring nurses!

@Omar Khaled I think we have all came to the conclusion- it just depends! LOL But that GPA is a really strong and your TEAS is still average! I hope we ALL get acceptance letters. Best of luck to everyone!

Has anyone received any letters yet? Someone mentioned that people at the Cochran Campus did receive their letters... Just wondering

@Kuvesh86 I havn't recieved anything yet. If they send them out earlier than expected though, that would be awesome! ?

Has anyone heard anything ?

Nothing here... Guys do you think I have a chance with my stats for the BSN program.

TEAS 74

3.47 GPA

3.6 Science GPA

I'm really stressing out .. has anybody heard anything? I called two weeks ago and I was told letters should be out sometime last week of Oct. Good luck everybody! Please share your stats too If you don't mind! ?

Does anyone know of some places to live down there or a room mate situation. I am

considering living down there during week if it’s feasible. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Also this is if I get into the program.

@Kuvesh86 which program did you apply to? I believe the BSN programs are taught on the Macon/warner robins campus if so I would prob look into the dorms on the Macon campus, if thats something that you might be interested in. If Im not mistaken the Spring ASN program is on the Dublin campus and I don't have a clue about housing down there. The city is alot smaller than Macon though. How far is your commute now if you don't mind me asking. I'm hoping to get in the ASN program and its about a 45 minute commute from my house in Macon.

I applied to both ASN and BSN ... I’m really hoping for the BSN. I’m coming from Marietta ... it’s and a 100 miles either way. I really can’t sit out another year. The program are just getting more and more competitive. So my plan was to find a place that I can share.

@Kuvesh86 if you don't mind dorm life or don't have kids like myself I would def check on the dorms on the macon campus, years ago anyone could rent out a room and it was pretty affordable but its only open to MGA students now. If not, I know there are a few spots close to downtown macon that rent out rooms to college students (mostly to the other college there: Mercer university). There is also a place off Zebulon Rd that caters to college students but its expensive.

hey my friend went to MGA and she lived in Warner Robins and worked as a tech at the hospital. Rent is very affordable in Warner Robins. I wouldn’t live in Macon UNLESS I’m staying on campus or in an expensive apartment. Macon is very GHETTO. LOL. I know because I’m from down that way.
