Hey all!! I recently applied to MidAmerica Nazarene's ABSN program to begin this Fall 2020. I haven't been able to find a forum on here for the upcoming semester this year, so figured I'd start one and hopefully more people will stumble upon it and we can connect!!! I just took my TEAS today so I'm hoping they will (and I will ?) have my score soon and I'll hear back about my acceptance decision!!
@Blue Iguana You will make an account for clinicals that includes the required drug test, vaccines, proof of health insurance, Background check, and TB test. They all have slightly different timelines but are required before clinicals in Mod 2. So the drug test doesn’t have to been done the first week of classes but it can be helpful to get it out of the way. Also make sure that you have information and are up-to-date on all your vaccines including chicken pox, Hep B, MMR, TDAP. You will need proof of two TB negative skin test, or ask about the other options.

Awesome! I have to get my drug test and all of these done for my employer at the end of the month so I was hoping I didn't have to do it twice to save some money.

@MollyParton you only need to wear scrubs for labs and clinicals. For normal classes/lectures you can wear what you want, but I would bring a jacket the classrooms can be cold. They suggest getting two sets of scrubs since for the most part you have back to back labs or clinicals and it saves you from going home and having to do laundry before the next morning. The scrub color is a dark gray but if you are not sure about the right color I would just wait till class starts they give you a week before they require the scrubs. Hope this helps!
