MIDAMERICA NAZARENE - FALL 2020 - ABSN

Hey all!! I recently applied to MidAmerica Nazarene's ABSN program to begin this Fall 2020. I haven't been able to find a forum on here for the upcoming semester this year, so figured I'd start one and hopefully more people will stumble upon it and we can connect!!! I just took my TEAS today so I'm hoping they will (and I will ?) have my score soon and I'll hear back about my acceptance decision!!

CONGRATS to both of you! They should send you an admission reply form soon. Worst part about it is putting down the tuition deposit ? I’m thinking of starting a facebook group just for the the fall 2020 cohort. Would any of you be interested?

Yeah I saw that! I definitely think we should have our own so we aren’t annoying them ? If you type in “MNU ABSN Fall 2020 Cohort” it should come up, feel free to add yourself ?

First off CONGRATS to all you guys that have gotten in and for those still waiting some of the people in my cohort didn’t get accepted until a couple weeks before the program started so don’t be discouraged. So I am from the 2020 Spring cohort or as we have nicknamed ourselves the corona cohort! If anyone had questions they would like answered I can try and answer them!
A little information of what has happened for our cohort. We ended up going online in our 3rd week of starting. The plan at this moment is to have us in the classroom in August for mod 4. This is also when we will start out clinicals. Normally you start doing clinicals at the end of mod 2 at a nursing facility and then two 12hr days a week in Mod 3 which we were unable to do. This has not delayed our graduation and we have been doing critical thinking activities instead.
If you have any other questions don’t be afraid to ask!

Thanks for the info Kelsey! (Sorry I don't know how to tag people on here or reply to specific posts, so I hope you see this...) Do we wear scrubs to all classes, every day? Trying to figure out what I need to start shopping for, scrubs or comfy clothes ? Thanks!
