Hiya! I'm an AF wife and we're stationed in the UK for a little bit but I'm wanting to finish my pre-nursing degree so i can finish school/clinicals when we get back to the states- any ideas/options for online schools for this? the school i was going to before moving doesn't offer everything online - i was accepted to a RN program before the move (in Charleston @ Trident Tech) but turned it down...major regret! Anyway, any leads are appreciated! Thanks!

Many schools won't accept online lab courses so that might be a challenge depending on where you go after the UK. Someone who was stationed in Japan told me the military offered a variety of classes they were able to take. Could you take a class at a UK school or see if there are any school options offered by the military that you could take?

I took microbiology through Ocean County College. They had a lab component. You'd have to have the lab kit shipped to you so I'm not sure how expensive that would be, but they do have a lab. I have taken microbiology in a brick and mortar school as well, but it was too old so I had to retake it. Having taken it in both settings I will say that the lab component was actually harder with the online class than the brick and mortar class. Here's a link for you - Microbiology Online at Ocean County College
thanks! going off base for a class really isn't cost-effective...it'd be super expensive (especially b/c of the £ to $ conversion rate) and on base it's mainly masters level courses or flight-degree/general education classes...i've heard of and looked into the ocean county one but wasn't sure how it really was

Hi, I am looking for courses as well. One school that I am applying to says my microbiology is too old. New England University has one but is expensive. I will try to post if I find something else.
