I'm going into my sophomore year this upcoming fall and was interested in taking either microbiology or anatomy during the summer.
I'm not sure if I should take my time with anatomy and not cram it over the summer and focus on microbiology for the summer instead?

Take one in the summer, and the other in the fall.

I'd do micro. I'm in Micro & AP2 now, and having AP2 shortened from the regular 16 week schedule would be insane, but Micro could go faster and not be a problem.

I'm taking both micro & AP2 at the same time as well, and its a lot to keep up with. I took AP1 over the summer while working and that wasn't too bad. For a summer session I'd say to take AP2 for summer session 1 and micro for summer session 2, or one during the fall. Not at the same time if its during the summer. However if you're planning to take the TEAS or HESI, I recommend taking AP2 the semester/session closest to when you're taking the test so that AP2 info is fresh on your mind! I wish I had taken AP2 when I took my TEAS/HESI.

Depends on professor as well. I had one tough professor teach micro and it felt like 16 weeks was not long enough.
Ultimately, it will be tough but doable with enough commitment and dedication.

I usually took my hardest courses in the summer to free up the Fall semester. Found it easier to concentrate on 2 classes rather than taking them in the fall with other classes.

I did micro in 8 weeks during the summer. I wouldn't recommend taking anatomy because it is so much to learn and you will probably rip your hair out.

I would recommend taking Micro during the Summer. I took it last Summer and it was super intense with the teacher I had and I still managed coming out with a good grade, but a 2 hour lecture plus a 2 and a half hour lab behind that was very time consuming. It was a lot of information so just be ready. However, I would not recommend taking Anatomy and Micro together. To me, I felt Anatomy had more valuable information that you want to really absorb than Micro. Taking the two together I wouldn't think it would allow you to really absorb all that is taught in AP. Good luck!
