  1. dianearc, Could you share what was your experience like with the ABSN program. I'm debating between ABSN and BSN. Did you do a program in NY? Also how long did it take you to find a job after graduation?
  2. Did you have prior experience in the field before graduating? Or did you get hired as a fresh new grad?
  3. Has anyone seen an increase in CNL roles?
  4. Has anyone found a job as a RN without prior experience right out of nursing school?
  5. I usually took my hardest courses in the summer to free up the Fall semester. Found it easier to concentrate on 2 classes rather than taking them in the fall with other classes.
  6. ohhh very nice perspectives, I wish more nurses would share their experience. Anything you would share for those going into nursing school now?
  7. Definitely will look into becoming a CNA, are there any difficulties getting hired without prior hospital experience?
  8. Hmm. Definitely stop worry about what other people say. If it's something you really want to do, it shouldn't really matter. At the end of the day it's your decision, yes it might sting, but know why you wanted to do it in the first place. As long as you know the importance of your work :)
  9. Does anyone recommend Accelerated over the traditional route?
  10. Did any of you end up finding anything? I haven't see anyone mention what the job market is like now
  11. ltaylor19, Right, we're definitely on the same page regarding this degree. I saw that UVA offered the MSN-CNL and here it's just a MS-CNL. While we do get the same opportunity to take the CNL exam, I just haven't seen that many opportunities at this time. Also, I've seen that RN's without experience in the field don't have the best of luck finding employment after graduation as many new grad programs are pretty competitive to get into. Many suggest working as a CNA while in school if not at least volunteer. Does anyone have any insight or opinions regarding this?
