Micro anxiety

Hi All,

I'm starting on Feb 1st and my first class is going to be Micro. I'm trying to keep a positive mindset but truth is, I'm dreading this class.

Any thought? Pointers?

Microbiology at WGU is pretty darn easy, do not stress. The test is not difficult and the lab has a 'game plan' that lets you finish it in about a week and a half even working slowly. I'm on the facebook group and haven't heard a single complaint about micro other than occasionally the cultures won't grow - in that case, you put "such and such didn't grow, but it SHOULD have looked like ...."

Thanks for the calming words, featherzRN! I took it through Excelsior but it didn't have a lab...so here I am!

So did I. :) If you have already taken through excelsior, this will be easy peasy. The lab is just mixing up tubes, watching stuff grow, culturing your door handles, growing bread, etc. Nothing too horrible and don't overly stress if the cultures bomb out. I took it through excelsior 25 years ago and still passed the test with basic review.
