Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hey guys!! So the only classes I have left to take either summer or fall would be micro & a&p II.. I was wondering if anyone has ever taken these two together? I am a mother of a 5 year old and a wife... I also work part time as a nail tech for my aunts shop... So, I was just wondering if anyone has ever taken the two & what's your opinion on taking the two with everything else... Thanks!!

I will be doing it as well for 8 weeks in mid march through mid may. I hear all kinds of stories. Both successful and not too great. I only work PT on night shift so I'm giving it a shot. Still have 3 kids to take care of as well but the oldest 2 help out a lot with the 5 y/o. Only you can know how much of a push you can give yourself. Good luck.

I have taken Micro and A&P together along with two other classes, and it comes down to your reception and retention of the material; that determines how you do. I got A's in both and thought it was challenging but fun.

Difference is that although I was a FT student and worked, I didnt have kids and wasnt married at the time. This is something to take into consideration as this will impact your studies and take time away from your child, which from what I have heard from other parents, is difficult and can be guilt-ridden.

Take it slow, if you can and weight your options.

I'm taking them right now, along with two other classes and working about 20 hours/week. It's definitely a challenge but I think you should be okay as long as they're the ONLY classes you're taking. They're both a lot of reading (at least in my case) and a&p2 had been a lot more challenging material to take on so far than a&p one. You would probably want to make sure you do well, considering they're prerequisite classes so maybe cut back on work if you can afford to? Hope this helps!
