TB testing?

U.S.A. Michigan

Does anyone know of anyplace to get a TB test done fairly cheap? I need to have documentation of a negative TB before I take my CNA class in October. I don't have health insurance so it puts me in a little bit of a difficult situation. :uhoh21: So if anyone knows of any sort of testing center somewhere around Livingston/Washtenaw counties, I would greatly appreciate any advice! Thank you!

I would think any state public health department would do it free or very sliding scale.

Specializes in OB, critical care, hospice, farm/industr.

Washtenaw county health dept. They can do it free.

Specializes in OR Peri Operative.

Health Departments usually do them for free. I just one done at the health department and it was free.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

The clinics inside of Meijers do them for 20 dollars. Pretty cheap and a whole lot less hassle then the health dept.

Call the place your taking your class at and ask them if they do it. I was taking a EMT in Waterford and they said we need a TB test before hand but then ended up offering them to the ones who didn't get them done.
