How did everyone Celebrate getting into Nursing School?

Ok I'm curious, how did everyone celebrate the news when they got into nursing school? I'm still in shock I guess of getting in and keep thinking I should be doing something to prepare. I'm sure these feelings are normal huh?

BTW does everyone post here or in other areas of the forum? There are so many threads, it's hard to keep up or know where to go.

My husband bought me a pink Littman. It is for breast cancer awareness, and I love it too.

Truth be told I was hoping for the pink one! of course i would NEVER tell them that! I am taking your advice and working on getting my house in order before school starts. It is amazing the junk that accumulates in closets!

Oh, happy day. That was a HAPPY freakin' day. I got the mail, saw my huge envelope, opened it and immediately burst into tears, called my mom, and drove 15 minutes to where my husband and friends were so I could tell them all in person. It was a huge deal because I worked so hard to do well in my pre-reqs and the school is also fairly competitive. To celebrate, my awesome husband treated me to a facial at a spa (never had I even stepped foot in a spa before) and a night at a very nice hotel in town. A friend threw a party for me and we invited my closest pals and had a blast. It was a GREAT way to celebrate. And now, in slightly more than a month, I'm about to finally start what I set out to do when I was about seven years old. It feels good. :)

My boyfriend and I went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, and he bought me a really nice Bisou Bisou dress for our Caribbean cruise this May. The cruise is part of the celebration of me getting into nursing school and also since it will probably be the LAST time we vacation till I'm done (even though there's no school during the summer I plan to work only then).

Go ahead and celebrate, if you can't enjoy the hardwork you have done just to get in who else is going to appreciate it. I am ALL for pampering one's self!!!

Ladies make sure you engrave those Breast Cancer Littman stethoscope's. According to my uniform store those happen to be the most popular ones and my CNA class was full of them! Lucky I just got basic black littman (hand me down) and a dark navy blue stethoscope, cause I was the only one with the non-girly colors. Still had both engraved but geesh don't really want to have my stethoscope confused with everyone elses.

Congrats on getting in!!!! As of now I don't start until Spring 2008 but I'm going to try and appeal to start in August 2007. Yeah! That's awesome about a cruise. :) I have family who live in Philly. I'm also going to Atlantic City this August! I love the east coast!

My best friend and I both got into nursing school (I am starting fall of 07 and she spring of 08). Since we won't be able to go on any vacations while we're in school, we decided to celebrate with a trip to the Bahamas! We are leaving in 3 weeks, can't wait! :balloons:
