I took the HESI (95) today and sent my application. Time for the 8-10 week wait! I thought I would start a thread to see if there are any other hopefuls out there.

Sarah are you commuting? If you are, and our classes are similar maybe we could car pool.

Well, I haven't decided yet. I have a cabin in Beaverton, it is a little closer, I was kind of considering living there. But more likely than not, yes. I would love to carpool. Send me a pm, maybe we can purposefully try to get the same classes/clinicals and share the ride.

Meeting for lunch sounds like a great idea! I live in Midland and my car is giving me a bit of trouble this week. It should be fixed by this Saturday. I haven't started looking into CPR courses yet but when I talked to the senior adviser and she said Davenport is creating a list and plans to offer a course sometime in August. She's taking names so that she can contact people to let them know when it is. The health forms will be mailed out in a couple of weeks according to my advisor and I asked about registering for classes and I was I told I couldn't yet. She said something about allowing us to pick our first two choices and trying to give us one of those two picks. When, I don't know. So if anyone has any more information on that I would be interested. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hey Guys. I mailed my deposit last Monday the 13th. The check still has not been cashed. If it is not received by July31st then we do not get to reserve our spot. The Advisor at Midland campus says this: Please understand that I am the only one receiving the contracts and deposits. I am getting 200 of them in, so I apologize that I cannot confirm acceptance at this time. We are sending out the health forms this week, but if it is an emergency, our advisors at Midland and Warren have a copy of the forms. The checks will be cashed sometime in August. I am sorry I cannot be more specific at this time.

Does anyone know anything about this process? Just do not want to lose my spot!

Hey Shara7911, I just wondered if you took your CPR course yet? I am not sure which one to take?

Hey Beezlee200,

I am taking my CPR class this Monday and Wed from 6-10 at the Ann Arbor Red Cross. For your CPR certification, you will need the BLS Certified for nursing. It is both infant & adult. Hope this helps! Are u going to the Warren campus?

Yes I am going to the Warren campus. Is the CPR class a two part class? Did you get your packet? I got mine today, they don't give us much time do they? I don't know about the immunizations (I don't have proof I have had any of the childhood ones) and the Hep b I have never had, if it is a series how do I have them all done by the time they have to be in, or do I just have to prove I started the series, this is confusing to me. lol. I think I am just freaking out.

I guess I can call school monday and ask. Thanks for your info.

That sucks they changed the orientation. I had plans to go camping but now I had to cancel and switch dates. I guess the class has 2 parts. Amy gave me all the info I needed. I have been worried about my deposit. My check still has not been cashed, and they are supposed to have it by the 31st. They said they won't even be cashing them till Aug. I do not want to lose my spot because for some reason they do not receive. Yeah the immunizations were pretty vague. I am gonna call Monday also. I want to get all this taken care this week! Do you know when we find out about our schedule? Amy said she would call me this week about my choices and never did.

I know the information we are getting is not very detailed in the sense that it doesn't tell us when we register our classes or if we should be going in to register or anything. I have been just trying to figure it out as I go.lol.

I will find a CPR class to take, hopefully this week and get my shots or whatever I need. (hopefully), then I just hope I can have everything done and mailed in by the 14th.

The orientation is not the one we bring our family to is it??
