Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

I'm going to call Jackson training center in homestead and do it there

I have a question, I hope someone here knows this, as it is so hard to get answers from MDC via the phone... I applied for both the generic and accelerated track. Generic would be at Homestead Campus for me. My question is: Is it possible to complete the generic program within 4 consecutive semesters, so just a little more than a year, by taking a full schedule of summer classes? Or would we have to take the summer term off? Thank you in advance...:-)

from what I know we have to take summer classes btw what's your gpa

That would be great if we have to. Thank you. My Total GPA is 3.78. Natural Sciences is 4.0.

The accelerated option would be the whole year, from January to December 2015. The generic option would be the whole year plus 1 more semester. Both including summer classes.

Thank you Yaritanew. The reason I have been confused about this is because on the mdc webpage it says that the generic full time program is a "traditional two-year program"... That is why I thought there were no summer classes. Thank you.

Yeah and it's harder that's what one of my nursing friend told me, and awesome I notice that like 10 people here have high gpas and 10 are in 3.5 & down.

I can only say en el

Nombre de Dios! Im praying everyday so God can make me the miracle of being acepted. My gpa is not that great.

You are so right only he knows..

God only knows whats best for us. I'm praying too. I'm the only one here with a low gpa. People with high GPAs should be grateful about it and worries free.

Why people send me this...Don't understand :( As much as I try to get away from negative people there is always someone who mess up your day. Anyways. I can and I will. Im doing this for myself.

I don't want to discourage anyone with the picture. We all are strong. We will support each other and we will make it.
