Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Published

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

Hello.

I applied for Transitional-Bridge program also. I can not get my mind of thinking about this acceptance letter. did anyone received any letter yet?

I applied for bridge too can't wait!!!

I just realized too that we are only on 30 something pages in june when last years fall term took up hundreds of pages. Either most are hiding not wanting to be social or theres a smaller applicant pool this year lol.

Where are u guys going to get your physicals done?

Hopefully there's a smaller applicant pool :)

I guess through our primary care provider

Smaller applicant pool, the better loll

Sorry to burst the bubble here🙈 but I highly doubt it One of the advisers tgere told me if anything the pool is bigger this year because it's the last semester without an entrance test so everyone is applying even people who are not qualified or have not finished their classes

Yea I HIGHLY doubt the applicant pool is smaller. Perhaps some applicants aren't part of All Nurses or some are just lurkers (they read but don't post). I think more people applied this time around than any other previous term.

Our applications are in and we've all done all we could do up to now so let's just try and patiently sit back and wait to get those decision letters back. It's already June so any day now ladies and gents..

I thought the same thing! But its true we probably just dont have a very talkative group this year =(

Does anyone know what the class schedules look like? I saw there's 3 sequences and you can't mix and match sequences. I wish I could find more on this. :(

Hi All!

I applied for the part-time program. I called the school yesterday and I was told that by sometime next week they should be start sending out letters. Also, I was told they have until 2 weeks prior to orientation for the last acceptance letters to be sent out.

Good Luck to all!
