MGH Direct NP program 2016

Has anyone else applied to this program?! Just got an email that my application was being processed!!

I did too! Same email...processed and under review! Just moved to east coast from SoCal! Good luck to everyone!

Oh I'm so glad to see this group was finally created! I've been lurking in the ABSN ones for the longest time haha. I also applied to MGH for the FNP program! Actually wishing I did peds the longer I'm in it but alas.... :)

That's really cool. My goal is to move to the San Diego area after graduation. Well if you get in and move here I would be happy to show you around the Boston area!

San Diego is beautiful! Their food is ridiculous. I live in the OC, which is about 1 1/2 hours away from SD. Nonetheless, California is beautiful and you're making a good choice to move here!

I'm definitely going to take you up on that offer! I have never been to Mass, and as exciting as it is to move to a different state I can't wait to see the differences between my home state and the one I'd move to.

@wilson1314- mine says the same thing. there hasn't been an update

Anyone else feel like time is going by super slow? I have a feeling we'll hear back by the end of next week! :unsure:

I think in the previous thread they heard back around the 17th which is still kinda far away

Yeah all my friends who applied last year said they heard back the 17th because the school was shut down so many days from the snow days. The faculty and students I talked to told me its usually around February 8th-12th.

Hi all!!

I applied for the FNP track. I actually applied last year and got wait-listed, then was informed around August that the class was full. I was devastated since MGHIHP was my #1 choice, but remaining hopeful this year!

From what I remember last year, we got on email earlier in the day of Feb 17 saying that decisions will be ready at night through our online application. We simply logged on and there was a link on the bottom that led us to our fate.

That being said, like all of you I'm super anxious!! Regardless, I'm going to purse a career in the health field either way. If the second time around isn't successful, I'm going to apply to accelerated nursing programs and from there, work my way up to be an FNP.

I believe Yo-yoshi had mentioned earlier that a friend of hers currently in the program received decisions the first or second weekend of February.

Hi all! Haven't posted in a while but have been following along! :) I know there's a bit of a snow storm in Boston right now so I wouldn't be surprised if this delays our process. However, I am right with you all with hoping we know sooner rather than later!

Hey guys! I wish you all the best of luck and you all get in & save me a spot. 😂☺ I applied to this program as well. I am patiently waiting to hear something from them. I check my email everyday and I only find junk mail. I wish I can just forward the time! Anxiety anxiety!!
