Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a post for the MGH ABSN Summer 2019 program! I was wondering what everyone's backgrounds were. I am a senior finishing my degree in psych with a minor in bio. I have a 3.6 GPA and I am taking the TEAS this week. I'd love to hear other people's stats and which schools you're applying to!

Hi! I just applied to MGH last night for Summer 2019. I graduated in 2017 with a degree in Health Science and have been working in a hospital since then. I'm also applying to UMASS Boston and Northeastern.

Hello! I am submitting my application tonight. The only other program I applied to was UMass Boston. I wasn't planning on applying to the MGH program for financial reasons but I decided it was at least worth submitting an application.

I graduated in May with a bachelors degree in Public Health with a 3.4 GPA and I have a 3.8 Pre req GPA. I got an 83 on the TEAS. Best of luck on yours this week!

Hey guys! I just submitted my application today and noticed that they extended the deadline from 12/15 to 1/15. Why did they do that?

I didn't know it got extended to 1/15- thanks for letting us know! It looks like in past cohorts the deadline was also extended and decisions went out based on your original application date..... Maybe that's what will happen again? (Not sure because I haven't talked to anyone at MGH about this)

I just saw that too, after a week of studying for finals while compiling my application materials! Multiple sources state the January date, but I had a friend confirm it because I don't want to make a mistake!

I received this email today regarding the deadline extension:

"You may see that we have extended the deadline to apply in NursingCAS to January 15, 2019 for the summer 2019 application cycle. Please be advised this will not delay the review of your application, or when you will receive your admission decision. The review of applications that were submitted prior to the original deadline of December 15, 2018, will be reviewed as they become complete and are verified through NursingCAS. If any additional information is needed prior to application review, we will contact you via email."

Hopefully people who applied for the December 15th deadline will hear back in early/mid January!

I sent an email asking for a timeline for decisions for people who submitted for the December 15th deadline and received this:

"We still expect to have decisions sent out within 8-10 weeks after the original deadline.".....that would mean we would hear decisions between February 9th-23rd (ugh!)

Hi!

Im so glad someone started a post! My overall GPA and my pre req GPA are both a 3.4 with 2.5 years of patient care experience. I scored low on the TEAS (78) but when I called MGH they said they take anything over a 70! I am also applying to Regis and Northeastern.

As for hearing back from MGH, the people I know in the program said they heard back 3-4 weeks after applying!

Good luck!

p.s. I want to know why they extended the deadline.

Hey guys! Hope we hear from MGH soon! Does anyone know if there is a way to check the status of your application online? Or do we just have to wait for a letter in the mail?

I think they email you a decision! That's what I read on past discussion posts about MGH.
