I figured since every other cohort has started message boards about the application process it might be helpful to start one here as well! Has anyone applied to MGH for the January 2017 start In the accelerated nursing program? I've heard a lot of great things about the program and work with 5 nurses who have come from this program as well.

I got in too. No info. about a scholarship. I heard scholarship info. comes separate-- but I'm not 100% sure about that. I hope I'm offered a scholarship. It's so expensive!
i only heard about scholarships from past cohorts threads.. did you hear elsewhere about them coming separately? from what i understood they tell you if you received one in your acceptance letter and then email you a few days later with the amount.
Congrats to all of you who've been accepted :) and to those on the wait list, do not give up hope. I've heard of people being accepted off the list. And to answer the question about scholarships: they mention in your acceptance letter whether you've been given a scholarship. A few days later, the financial aid office emails you regarding the amount. That's how it was with my cohort and the cohorts before.
I'm pretty sure that you can defer. There was a girl who was accepted into my cohort (may 2016), and deferred to January 2017. However, it doesn't hurt to contact the school just to make sure. Contact Erin Bogan. She's the program coordinator, and she's a very kind, helpful person.
