Methodist Nurse Residency July 2025

starting this for methodist applicants for Summer start date

When you apply it said pick your top 3 but it was only 3 choices I remember med surg, ER, and ICU for each Methodist location I just did all of them but I want ER and that's who didn't respond hopefully sometime next week they do

OK so I didn't notice but I got 3 emails this afternoon. One says Inpatient Acute B5, the other one is Intermedicate care unit and the last one just says Nurse Resident. I think the last one might be dallas. Anyway I won't get my hopes up cause I had six applications sent to managers for parkland and didn't get a single interview.

OK so I didn't notice but I got 3 emails this afternoon. One says Inpatient Acute B5, the other one is Intermedicate care unit and the last one just says Nurse Resident. I think the last one might be dallas. Anyway I won't get my hopes up cause I had six applications sent to managers for parkland and didn't get a single interview.

I have 3 with JPS tomorrow and a phone interview with BUMC next week. I never heard anything from parkland, my portal just says that im still in consideration but I gave up hope for that and methodist moved me to the B5 unit and sent my application to the manager. 

Thats great! I have NICU for baylor all saints next week and I got an interview email for Acute Surgical for UTSW, don't have a date for that yet.

I'm annoyed I applied the first day everything opened first hour I got a response from 1 job at parkland I have an interview next week I really hate nurse residency like people have interviews at JPS my application is still in process I applied at Texas health resources this morning

I do know for a fact that JPS gave preference to the people that went to their open house for interviews. Parkland I heard they gave that same preference to the ones that went to their mixer but it's not confirmed LOL. I also applied to parkland the same hour, got my application sent to all units that I applied too and didn't hear back from anyone which sucks.

I also applied to Texas Health. All we can do is hope I guess. But I started telling myself that it is OK if I don't get a job immediately and I can wait till October and in the mean time try to make some internal connections. Did you attend the parkland mixer? I didn't know about it until after I applied.

Nothing yet...Methodist is usually the last to interview and send offers. I am crossing all my fingers and toes. This is my second round of trying to get a residency in DFW. It is crazy competitive.

I'll definitely make sure to ask at the Q&A when can we expect interviews.

On linkedIN the recruiter said interviews are March 4-7

You think if someone didn't get the email for the Q&A then that means they won't be considered? I have a couple classmates who received the email but I didn't. I'm just wondering if there's a correlation
