ok guys help me out here
is mrsa an antibiotic resistant infection? is this infection transmitted by contact, airborn, droplets? what kind of cautions do healthcare providers must take when taking care of patient? i was surprised that we had to wear a mask when taking care of patient with mersa.
MRSA at our hospital has been changed to MORSA and NORSA. Apparently they don't use methicillin here, but oxacillin for diagnosis. So they have the two different types; NORSA - Non Oxacillin Resistant Staph Aureus, (which is still a form of MRSA) but not as bad as MORSA - Multidrug resistant Oxacillin Resistant Staph Aureus. Do they use these terms elsewhere?
