Hello Everyone!

Thought it would be best to discuss, share info, stats, updates, info on Summer 2023 Program at Mercy. 
Previous Cohorts please feel free to share how the program is going or give any tips!

Congrats to both you that got accepted. I got accepted as well.  Hope everyone who applied on this thread get accepted as well, good luck. ? I wonder if I can defer my acceptance to the fall instead.

Yay!! Congrats to everyone accepted!! So excited for you all! 

Do we receive acceptances via email? If so, did you guys receive them first thing in the morning or more so at night?

Just submitted all my supporting documents last night so my application is officially done! ?

For the people who received a decision, did you receive it through email or through the mail? And how long after you applied did you receive a response?

I'm so so so nervous ? My overall GPA (Bachelor + Prereqs) is a 2.7 but my prereqs are B+’s and and A-‘s and I'm just scared I'm going to get denied bc of my GPA.

Thank you. I actually checked my portal first and saw the result as I was speaking with my mom. Then I went to my email and saw an email was sent also stating that a decision was made and to check my portal. It was probably around 6ish pm EST.

I submitted my application on February 1st like my pace application. When I did, I submitted the wrong transcript which did not have my grade for Micro and A&P 2. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) emailed me and told me that was missing so I emailed him the correct transcript. I got an answer yesterday 2/8. I think they might look more into your prereq GPA as those are more important (but again don't quote me on it as I'm unsure).

  • A&P1: B
  • A&P2: A-
  • Chem (taken in undergrad twice)
    • 1st time (2014)- lecture: D; lab: C+
    • 2nd time (2016)- lecture: B; lab: A-
  • Micro: B
  • Dev Psy: A
  • General Psy (taken in undergrad): C-

Pre-req GPA: 3.3

BS GPA: 3.2

Regarding the decision... you receive an email telling you that a decision on your application is awaiting and you should log into the portal to view the results. Once you do that you scroll down a bit and by the status you see  "Accepted".. you can also download the acceptance letter should you wish to. 

As far as stats:

Undergrad GPA 3.58

Prereq GPA: 3.94 ( All A's except for a B+ in A& P I)..

I submitted my app on 1/31 and all official transcripts and LOR were submitted on 2/2. Received my decision on 2/8.

I was able to successfully defer my application to the Fall 2023 instead. Good luck to anyone starting in the Summer 2023!!

I compared the program requirement to other and Mercy seems a tad bit harder to excel. The minimum grade required for all nursing course is B-. If you score lower in any class, you're at risk of failing out the program. Is this correct? If anyone knows any info about this, please update me.

I received my Acceptance today. So happy!

Congrats! So happy for you! I am not too sure about the grade requirements? Anyone else know? 
 

I was accepted too, but will be attending Manhattanville. Good luck to everyone!
