If you've done or know anyone that has done the LPN in Mercy Hospital..I just want feed back on the school, teachers and how are the classes.

Thanks...:wink2:

I am graduating from this program on April 9th. I absolutely loved it! Teachers are awesome, LOTS of clinicals within the same hospital, and they prepare you really well. I recommend it 100%!

Hi Nrsbetty86 , really the program is good...? thats good to hear... how was the entrance exam..? was it hard..?

Anyone else get accepted to this program? Is it hard to get in? Is there a waitlist?

there is a large waiting list, if you go to http://www.mercymiami.org/Nursing/index.asp you will be able to find info..

hi, im preparing to take the entrance test this july. can anybody give me any feed back on how was the test. I have my AA in prenurisng from MDC with a GPA of 3.2, volunteering in mercy at the nursing unit, i will also shadow my mom a couple of times she is an RN and im thinking of getting my CPR before attending the school. do you I will get accepted with my experiences and what i have done? i would gladly apperciate it! i really wanna attend their program and continue to get an RN with them also :nurse:

ive been on thier website so many times and never saw anything about a waiting list :x do you still know if theres a waiting list. im nervous! i really wanna get in and continue to their RN school. thanks :D

of course they are not going to tell you on their website that they have a long waiting list, i called. i wanted to start this august, but the lady told me they would be no openings until 2011, anyways everything happens for a reason. why dont you go to a university, its better in the long run. if you go the lpn route you would have to do lpn, then lpn to rn(adn), and then rn(adn) to bsn. i want to b a crna so i decided to do my bsn in a university, if you think about it, it actually might take you less time. Good luck and God bless!

while i was thinking of fiu but they also put me on there waiting list. and im registered to take the test for mercy in july this year. yea i was actually planning on going that route. i wanna get my msn as a nurse practioner. but everywhere i go it is so hard to get into. i went to mdc and they wanted a 3.8! when they used to be 2.5 gpa requirement! i was thinking getting my RN (adn) it would be alot easier getting into the bsn program in FIU. i have my AA for pre nursing and just waited to get acccepted. thanks so much for replying. and what school did u end up going too? thanks again for the info:D

i'm finishing up the prerequisites for NOVA.

it would be easier to get accepted with an adn (you'd be ahead of the game), you would just have to bridge into the bsn.
