MERCY COLLEGE NY ABSN FALL 2021

Hello, I am currently enrolled at Mercy college ( BS PSYCH) upon completion I hope to apply to the accelerated nursing program. I contacted the school for more information, they recently told me applications for the Summer program are due march 1st 2021 (I graduate in may) which means for the Summer I will be deferred until later semesters if accepted anyway.

I am wondering if anyone have any details into the program? Looking to apply in the near future ect. 

My pre requisite grades are not the best but I hope I get in. 

GRADES 

A&P I ....... A

A&P II....... B 

MICRO......B+

DEV. PSYCH ......B+

CHEM......C+ ( I struggled terribly with this course and it has been my lowest science grade ) 

STATS.....A-

NUTRITION.....A- 

because this is my first semester at mercy, I don't have a current GPA but I hope it makes the mark....

Hi I'm Rosey,

I too am in the process of applying for the Fall 2021 ABSN, I'm excited but also very nervous as I am concerned wether I have to quit my job and just study. I have 3 little ones and work fulltime at the hospital for quality management. When I last spoke to the advisor, I was informed that one needed to be available from 7qm-3pm (2 days a week) and 3pm-9pm (2 days a week) for lab.

 

The way things are going I believe it will be online.....

Hey Guys

I am planning to apply to Mercy ABSN so I wanted to start the online application but I wasn't sure if I should do it as first year student or transfer?

Also I am not a student at Mercy but will be graduating from another CUNY School this Spring 2021. 

Please help !!

Hi Naika, Did you hear anything as of yet from the admissions counselor. He is very helpful

Hey guys!

I did speak to the counselor and he mentioned they would start looking at Fall applicants first week of March.

Hi,

Can ask you if you attached the copy of both your transcripts (College and Highschool).

I did. I attached both unofficial and went ahead and had the official copies sent in. Just to get it out the way.

Did  you direct it to the Admissions Counselor -------------------? or jus to the admissions department. I have one class to take (Micro) willbe done by May 2021. He said as long as I have completed the class before the Summer then can accept my application.

For the unofficial transcript, can you just download as pdf from CUNY FIRST and add it in document section & submitted and later have the official transcript send to them? Because I am still taking a pre-req course microbio and I will have to wait until this semester ends to get a grade.

Also I am confused to where we are supposed to add recommendation in Common App. For other school, I see recommendation Tab where they request the recommenders on behalf of us but I don't see that option available for Mercy?

And lastly, I was confused with the total credit hours and Quality points asked  in GPA section in common app. Can someone please explain it to me?

No, I just directed it to the admissions department. You will see in the portal if it has been received.
