Hi everyone, I would like to open a forum for the FNP program in mercy college for fall 2020 session. Dobbs ferry, NY. How do yall feel about this program, it is fairly new program. Mercy is a brilliant school. Can anyone who is currently attending this program please give us an understanding of the program?

But I did mention in my personal statement that I had wanted to get a post masters cert in acute care or ENP cert. Maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned that since it’s an FNP program LOL ? oh well.
You should have not mentioned that you wanted to get a post master, it doesn't pertain to a primary no. I got in with a 4.0 and five years RN.
Debs it is great, it is durable.professors are great so far. Online for the first three semesters. Know your Apa format and your will be great.
Hi all! For those who were accepted to the program, how do you like it so far? What were your stats? I have a BSN GPA of 3.67 and was wondering if that is good enough? Do they require an interview? How soon did you hear back from them after applying and submitting supplemental information? I just put in my application today with all my supplemental information. Very nervous but excited! Any insight anyone can give me would be great. Thanks!

I applied in December with a GPA of 3.17. Graduated from my BSN program in May 2021, and began working in August in an ICU. I got my decision letter in May. Start classes in September ? Very nervous but excited.
Did you hear any news back?
Hello everyone, I graduated from mercy 2020. I have been a nurse for 2 years and recently decided to apply to the FNP program. Is it hard to get into? How long does it take for them to get back to you with a decision? I've been applying to different schools and when I did the application, I sent my personal statement from a different school by accident. I noticed mercy FNP guidelines for the personal statement were different. Yikes! Hopefully this doesn't bite me in the tush. Well, I'm hoping to be able to get in. Mercy is a great college. I started at new Rochelle but they closed and mercy took us. So hopefully, crossing my fingers, that I get in. I graduated nursing school with 3.5 GPA. So we shall see ?
