MERCY ABSN Spring 2021

Hi,

I plan on applying for the Spring 2021 ABSN program at Mercy College in the BRONX, NY. I'm sure there are many students looking for advice and support from other potential students as well. Feel free to leave any helpful tips, comments and the struggles that you may come across while applying.

Did anyone get an email saying one letter of rec is required? Does anyone know the guildlines for that? Like is it okay to ask a manager at work from an non healthcare related job?

Typically they want an academic letter of rec., someone who can vouch for you academically (at least that's what most other programs I've looked into/applied to want). Hope this helps!

@futureNurseMV- Did someone email you saying it was required? 

 

On the website it mentioned one personal reference. so it can be anyone who can vouch for your character.

I got an email that I still had one letter outstanding and it said “Please note that only one letter is required.” So I only submitted one! It’s weird cuz the website says it’s not required but my email said otherwise ??‍♀️

@FutureNurseMV Yes. only one is required. On the application it states that a recommendation is not required.. but one reference is. I got confused with the two at first too! Good luck to you :)
