Hi,

I plan on applying for the Spring 2021 ABSN program at Mercy College in the BRONX, NY. I'm sure there are many students looking for advice and support from other potential students as well. Feel free to leave any helpful tips, comments and the struggles that you may come across while applying.

LOR are not required for the application however if you need to submit, limit lor to 2.

Hello everyone,

 

For the prerequisites, I do see AP 2 requires a lab. Same goes for Micro and Chem? I don’t see on the website that it requires a lab . Does anyone know?

If I submit my application before my references submit their letters, will they still be able to afterwards?

yes, I submitted my application and just waited for my recommenders to forward my letters. You'll see it on the mercy portal once you submit your application. There's a checklist that will show you everything you have missing or already uploaded.  The references will stay red until they are received then will turn green with a check mark. Hope this helps

good luck to everyone! Does anyone know when we should hear back? If it is rolling or we will hear after a certain deadline?

Hi,

The app deadline is October 15th so we will prob be hearing back within that time up until December I believe.

Yes. Please leave any advice or tips for us fall 2021 applicants as you go through your process. If you guys have any advice on how to strengthen our applications, cum GPA, pre req GPA, is both considered? etc. It would be life saving!

I applied Monday! I asked someone in admissions how soon we hear a decision and they said within 8-10 days! And when I talked to someone previously I was told they start making decisions as early as Oct 1st and that it's rolling.

According to ---------------------- who is  the head of admissions/recruitment in the Nursing department said that the deadline for the application is October 15th so we probably won't hear from anything until then.
