Merced College Fall 2022/Spring 2023 ADN

Starting a thread for any ADN applicants. This will be my first year applying to nursing programs. Already have a Bachelor's in Health Administration but GPA is only 3.35. Looking for others starting the process :).

On the first day if someone doesn't show up, they only call and if you don't answer they go to the next person. I'm not sure how it works before the last day. But as an alternate I wouldn't start paying for anything until you know you are 100% in. Once you are fully accepted they will give the alternate time to start everything.

Do you know how many alternates are typically used?

Unfortunately no. In 2019 in orientation I counted 20 of us but don't know how many they called. I do know they called 2 alternates the first day cause someone didn't show. The st person they called didn't answer.

There were 20 alternates for fall and Spring? Or only fall?

My request to defer to January 2023 has been approved! So whoever is starting in January I will see you at orientation in Oct or November.

I have a question. Did you write them an email    To ask for deferring? Or did you filled out any kind of form? I didn’t know we defer so I declined my spot. Thanks
