Merced College Fall 2018 & Spring 2019 Applicants

Hello everyone!

Who here is ready to apply to Merced's nursing program next month? I'm about take my TEAS exam soon so I'm super nervous! If you don't mind me asking, how many points do you all suspect you are going to be applying with? This is the first program I am going to be applying to so I have no idea what to expect out of it and hope that I do everything correctly!

If you guys have taken the pre reqs for lvn you should put yourself on the list! In did in 2015 before i was eligible to apply for Rn. Best thing i ever did!! I know i start that in January. I couldn't stand being completely devastated again this year.. I want the RN so bad but ill take lvn and just apply for the bridge program after the nclex

Awww thank you for those words. That meant a lot. I just feel like it's never going to happen. But knowing that there's many of us out here applying more than one time. Makes me feel better. Thank you

You're welcome! I know what it feels like to think it won't happen and to question why ppl I completed my pre-reqs w/ got in before me or why people got in on their first try and I had to wait till my 3rd get. Just don't give up and lose sight of your goal of being a nurse.

Yup you. Never know!!! My friend got in last year on her 1st try!! We both applied together and she just got lucky! Our year will come!!

Just remember everything happens for a reason!! Yes I'll be sad if I don't get accepted but I'm willing to wait as long as I need to!

This thread was super helpful! gosh I've been checking my mail literally every damn day and looking at my email! lol! I can't believe there was 400 applications! I'm soooooo sad! Thats scary... anyway if I don't get in I will be taking two more classes and applying for the LVN program. yeah it sucks. Lets pray they get back sooner :(

It's always good to have a back up plan while you wait :) I'll be getting my bachelors degree in Kinesiology in the mean time!

That's good you're keeping yourself busy while waiting and keeping your options open. Gosh today is Friday!! And still nothing... I'm really disappointed that they're taking so long. It's gojng to the the longest 3 weeks ever... Hopefully it won't be too late to register for classes I've over the summer for fall. I need to appeal my financial aide.

Do you have Facebook? I think her name is Amanda Dawson, she posted about this too. They're saying that we will not hear back until the last week of may or first week of June. It's just so ridiculous because they said the usual time for orientation is the first week of June. As of now it hasn't even been scheduled. I literally want to cry hearing this. The over flow of applications are just over whelming them rn. Now I'm gonna have to go back to pretending I don't care when the letter comes and just forgetting about it. I guess it will come when it comes... or not. Lol. If it's meant to be then the spot will be mine. If it's not then we have next year.

So i just heard from a girl who is doing work study for the allied health dept and she said definitely wont be hearing anything until end of May!!!!! Said they are still processing apps and they had almost400 this year :( guess it's going to take longer... She may be wrong but im guessing with the size of the line this year she's not

DUUUUUUDE 400?! IM GOING TO CRY :( my second time applying too. I guess it's just the luck of the draw but man am I sweating it now :'(
