Mental Health Challenges

Published

Has anyone else developed mental health challenges from working? I have developed PTSD and honestly do not feel like I can work in this field. I am unsure what to do at this point.

Take some time off to recharge, then reevaluate what you want out of your work and what balance would look like for you. I have been told that things are particularly more hectic due to the pandemic. Ask for the support you need. Seek mental health help through therapy for your PTSD, and be open to learning coping skills specific to your needs. Best of luck to you.

I will say I've had my fair share. I'm pretty open about it, but prefer to do it via e-mail. Happy to share via e-mail @ [email protected]. Message me if you want more info about it.

I've left jobs because of my mental health. I'm finally at a place where my work-life balance is at a much better place. What has really helped me was seeking mental health and finding the right boss for me. My boss and I have a really good relationship and I'm very grateful that she mentors me. I tell everyone I'd do anything for her - BECAUSE IT'S TRUE! mutual respect goes a long way.
