I'm starting this thread for those applying to both Houston, TX Memorial Hermann (All Locations) and Memorial Hermann Children's for the Fall 2021 Graduate Nurse (GN) Cohort. This cohort will be the student nurses graduating in Spring/Summer 2021.
Please leave any information you may have about applications, interviews, calls, etc. in the thread! Also please say the campus/specialty (ICU, Peds, MedSurg, L&D, etc.) your applying/interviewing for! ?

don't worry guys! We still have until the July 2nd! Im positive they will make more calls next week! I don't think general peds or IMU have made calls yet!
@NurseBreee I also interviewed Tuesday w/ TMC - General Peds (leadership and the peer panel) - I wasn't sure how to read them in their interviews b/c I felt like we were on such a time crunch! I haven't heard anything either, but the recruiter told me yesterday that they should be finalizing their decisions and we will either hear back either by phone call, email, or workday notification. She didn't give me a time frame, but I am remaining hopeful until July 2nd. But I also just don't know how to feel! I wonder how many people were interviewing for these positions!

Well this gave me some hope! Good to know that the recruiter said they’re still finalizing which means we didn’t miss the offer. But I didn’t know how to read them as well, both of my interviews lasted between 25-30 mins I felt they went “okay” but who knows. How long did yours last? It’s 2 departments with General Peds which give us more of a chance but I would love to know how many they interviewed vs how many they’re looking to hire.

I was suppose to interview Monday but the only time slot available was 910 and I was in class all day Monday. So when you said there were 2-3 other time slots available that made me think they only interviewed a few a day? I ended up interviewing Tuesday.
I know that each unit at 42 beds (I think) and one manager was over medical and the other was more of the surgical/trauma side (she was the harder one for me to read), but she was also handling a crisis during my interview (that I found out about at the end).

Yes seemed like they interviewed maybe 4-5 Monday & same for Tuesday maybe. When I scheduled for my Monday interview I didn’t see that Tuesday was a option. This is my second time around applying I graduated in May & always read that the managers were hard to read for each units or either they’re interview was super short. But Good Luck to us!
