not since I got an offer but that was for children's in the TMC

I had my interview Thursday morning around 9 and they called me Friday afternoon, so a little bit over 24 hours!

Thanks for the insight, I didn’t know they had travel abroad and that’s something I would definitely be interested in. I’m choosing between UTMB and TWU. TWU is definitely closer to home and work (I literally work In the medical center at MD Anderson) and the time off and ability to work is promising. I just fear the class size is going to be huge, I’ve heard rumors of about 160 and the research origin of the program. I also like that UTMB integrates technology (they use the iPads) and it’s just a few months quicker. I can definitely see that. Online will be much easier for you to go to school and still maintain your family!

Is anyone else debating between TWU and another school. Any personal pros/cons for TWU? I want to make a decision to clear up a spot for someone else but I honestly don’t know.

For me it was a lot of financials. UTMB is cheaper, a little bit longer so I’d feel more comfortable working part time, and UH Is just way to expensive. However, I hate that I’d have to wait 6 months to start school when at UH I could be half way done. The 11 months is really enticing.

I’m so sorry to hear about the mix up. I know you were probably very excited but now you can take this extra semester to retake any classes or bring up any scores and be an even more competitive applicant. Best of luck to you as well!! Your time will come.

I wouldn't worry too much about and I definitely don't think that those scores would hold you back. I also have similar scores (3.4 and 3.3) and i was invited for an interview. Definitely retake some of those classes at your local community college if you can though. They're alot cheaper than university prices and i personally feel that they're a tad bit easier! Good Luck!
