About AspirantNurse

AspirantNurse has 2 years experience and specializes in Alzheimers/dementia.

Hi, I am a part-time CNA, full time student, and full time mother, full time wife. Crazy, right? At least I feel crazy some days. I'm also a coffee addict, but I prefer the term coffee connoisseur. I can probably give you some neat tips on how to make your home made cup of coffee taste like you paid $5 for it. I'm currently working on my nursing pre-reqs at a local community college, with a current GPA of 4.0. Let's hope that holds, cause I'll need the extra points to get into the official nursing program next fall. My two little boys keep me busy, and we're starting homeschooling this year (yikes!) Some days I'm not sure I'm ready for it, and then other days I see my five year old teaching his younger brother and think I'm already succeeding. My husband and I have been together for a decade now. He's my high school sweetheart. Unfortunately, with him working graveyards and me back in school, we never see each other. Or more specifically, we get to spend time together on Monday and Friday afternoons, and every other weekends. Other than that, one of us is usually leaving just as the other is coming home. We make it work, but it'd sure be nice to have a less demanding schedule. I love to read, and have way too many books sitting on the back burner. It's funny how A&P can suck up all your reading time. I also love to play guitar, and I own too many of them. I've started fixing them up, since they're all cheap pawn store guitars. I'd like to build my own someday. But I don't know nearly enough about woodworking, or Luthier work yet. People often refer to me as an old soul. I'm only 26, but you wouldn't know it from my tastes in music, literature, and television. I'm sure I throw the curve for whatever program Amazon uses to gather demographic statistics on their shoppers personal interests. I've rambled on quite a bit here now, but I hope I've given you a proper feel for who I am. See you out on the message boards. ;-)

I think you should stick it out. If not at this facility, then at another. The work is hard, heavy, and often gross, yes. I've done it for two years, trust me, I understand. But it's also a rewarding, eye-opening, and invaluable experience. Part...
