Most nurses have not worked in the "medical field" before working. Nursing is nursing.
  2. So I failed

There is a fine line between desperation and excitement. Having two years of med/surg experience is wonderful and that is going to strenghten you in the OR. I wish you the best of luck. Let me know how it goes.
  11. Long shifts = Higher levels of burnout

When you cannot get out of bed to go to work without dragging yourself, it is time to take some time off. Nurses are given vacation time and personal time and need to use it accordingly. If you come home from work and are still thinking about how m...
  12. Nursing: Art vs Science

You need to leave the profession immediately.
  13. excelsior college RN-BSN?

did you experience any friction with nurse managers because you do not have a BSN? I ask because I havea a bachelor degree in Business and wanted to go straight to MSN and was told that not having a BSN would hurt me.
