   That's okay. Perhaps I shouldn't go into details as I sense combativeness :/ It was really not my intention to appear in front of a firing squad. The good thing is: we all have jobs and there are plenty of jobs all over Canada to be had!

   They want you reviewing each chapter, most likely. You of course have to stay up on your readings (we had to) But we also paid most attention to the key terms, learning objectives, chapter overview/summaries.

   interesting - in my governing body, it IS the nurse's job to question ALL orders. If we give a medication, after the doctor prescribed it, and there is a huge adverse effect, the error falls on the nurse; not the doctor.

    As a care aide I made $22 an hour in Vancouver. (I believe that is equivalent to CNA) LPN 26.34 an hour.

    I worked my reg. 12 hour shift but was begged to do another back-to-back due to lack of staffing. By about 5 minutes home from my 30 minute commute, I wondered why my hair and face was wet ... I put the top down on my convertible.

    wow!! I have never heard of this - mind you, I'm from Vancouver. Interesting topic to say the least. On one hand, I agree that nurses, and all healthcare professionals, should be gleaming examples. On the other, wrong, wrong, wrongity wrong.

    When I worked at Richmond (BC) Hospital there was a handwashing rule in place. Hand sanitizers were placed in each room and every 6 meters in the hospital. We had to handwash between taking vitals! I'd chalk the inquiry and concern to good practice :...
