Thanks, I won't just need to focus on having a daily regimen for studying.
Thanks! Erin you really gave me something to think on. Keep in touch and let me know how its going preparing for the CPNE. You will be in my prayers.
Hey Erin congrats on getting a date. I am getting discouraged and just need some encouragement that getting my RN is possible this way. I am using study group 101 notes and Nclex rn comprehensive review from Saunders. I hope that will be sufficient for health safety and Trans to RN nursing.
I have been thinking on this program for a while and I believe it is best for my situation. I believe if you are a self-starter and can learn on your on than this my be just right for you. I know that only one test is waived if you are a LPN. I do not believe that the application process is hard at all the only drawback is the cost 895. I have finished most of my pre-req and have only 4 to finish. I just ordered study group 101 notes as well as Lisa Arends which you may find on E-bay. There are so many wonderful people on all nurses.com distance forum that are willing to help and provide guidance which to me is invaluable. I live in the downriver area and I am working on trying to form a michigan support group for us to lean on each other with encouragement and support. This program can be done and I have seen many who have completed which provides me with momentum. I just feel that you have to make up in your mind if this is the right move for you and stick with it. The rest to me will fall in place. Whatever you decide peace be with you and If you need any more info I will be glad to offer If I know it.
Don't worry were all in the same gang. We should find ways us locals can be of help to each other.
I would think it would be nice to form a local support group. Any thoughts smitty and tiffany.
hey there nick@nite, i'm from detroit and i'm preparing for the CPNE now. how far along are you in your studies? where about in Mi are you? you can PM me if you like, we can set up a study session or whatever. good luck to you and hope to chat to you soon.
Are there any michigan nurses doing the excelsior program or completed the program.
Thanks so much Lunah! I will be dealing directly with Excelsior college and with so much information with this site success is definately in my path. I look forward to asking more questions as I go further with my journey. Peace be with you.
After after nine years of being a LPN with most of my pre-reqs done I will finally embark on my journey through Excelsior College. I hope and pray this is the right move for me. I have always been a fast, independent learner. I will welcome any encouragement and pointers from any who are going through or finished. I believe many have felt the anticipation and happiness of embarking on a journey that is motivated by me without being at the mercy of many nursing programs wait list or the dread of taking tests in school whether your prepared or not. I am the captain of this ship and do not plan on going overboard.
