Do any other nursing students feel like slave labor in clinical practice? Maybe it is not as bad as it used to be but how many nursing students paid good money to get practice in a clinical setting? We do all the work with little or no jov opportunity advancement. Wouldn't it be nice to get financial help while going to school and let possible future employers see what you have to offer them? A cooperative program between hospital and universities offers many lucrative perks. For example, as a student you get financial assistance that you don't hae to pay back and gain professional jov eperience. As an employer you get cheap lavor and a chance to preview potential future employees without commitment to hire, saving time and money. The universities have a chance to tailor their curriculum to what is really in demand in the "real world". It's no wonder co-op programs are so popular in other professions such as engineering, business, even medicine. Please let me know what you think of this idea and if any universities already have this for a nursing program please let me know! Thanks!
