   Nvm I just figured it out. Increasing the elasticity of the arteries decreases the blood pressure because the arteries stretches, increasing the circumference of the vessels giving them more room for the blood to fill. Thank you!

   Sorry if I wasn't being specific. Why would an increase in compliance cause a decrease in blood pressure? Shouldn't it increase the blood pressure instead because an increase in compliance would mean that the arteries are vasodilating?
