  3. Got a job with VCU Health!! Anyone else work there???

I think all new grads are required to do nurse residency - sometimes even if they've been at another job less than a year! We had an NP who came back to the bedside required to do residency because she never did bedside. We are one of few accredited ...
  4. How is the Virginia job market for nurses?

At VCU they will hire ADN on the promise that you'll obtain your BSN (on VCU). I think we maintain 70 or 80% BSN?

  9. VCU ABSN Summer 2017 Hopefuls

  10. Relocating to VA

It really depends on your own personal opinion... The highest price is 96$/month and comes out of your paycheck.. But there's also much cheaper lots/decks and a free one where busses run constantly in loops. Even though it can be frustrating to pay, ...
  11. Relocating to VA

I think PICU at vcu is hiring. You do pay for parking depending on where you want to park (and what's available). They make a killing in parking, but finding parking otherwise is near impossible. I love VCU though.

Come to Richmond and you'll have no problem at all :)
  13. VCU ABSN Summer 2016

My GREs were 800 and my SATs 1090 (from a scale 11 years ago, out of 1600) - they said if you didn't take GREs they'd look at SATs. Not sure if they even look at either but both of mine were abysmal lol
  14. Projected back to work date?

In case anyone was wondering, I was out 5 long boring weeks! Couldn't go back until I was cleared from any restrictions.
  15. VCU ABSN Summer 2016

Hi! It was the beginning of April I was pulled from the wait list. Yes you can buy hunter green scrubs and get them embroidered yourself. My experience with VCU school of nursing was incredible. Honestly, I don't think I would have gotten such amaz...
