I think all new grads are required to do nurse residency - sometimes even if they've been at another job less than a year! We had an NP who came back to the bedside required to do residency because she never did bedside. We are one of few accredited ...
Hey vcu17. You sound like a great asset to the program. Retaking a class yielding a better grade is a good idea and shows determination. I don't think that would be a make it or break it deal though. My SATs were 1090 (on old scale of 1600) and GRE ...

It really depends on your own personal opinion... The highest price is 96$/month and comes out of your paycheck.. But there's also much cheaper lots/decks and a free one where busses run constantly in loops. Even though it can be frustrating to pay, ...

I think PICU at vcu is hiring. You do pay for parking depending on where you want to park (and what's available). They make a killing in parking, but finding parking otherwise is near impossible. I love VCU though.

My GREs were 800 and my SATs 1090 (from a scale 11 years ago, out of 1600) - they said if you didn't take GREs they'd look at SATs. Not sure if they even look at either but both of mine were abysmal lol
Hi! I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum. I was wondering if anyone other nurses have had recent lap-chole's done and when they could go back to work? I saw a thread from about 10 years ago.. So I didn't think that was as up to date. I got it almos...

I didn't have a wait list number, I guess that is a new thing. I had 2 days to pay the $250 deposit. Once I got the email I just went straight down there and did it because I live nearby!

definitely, I can understand why! I've never had surgery before so I didn't know if anyone's been in the same boat recently. I'm still sore but no pain!

Nichellesum- try VCU, they always have open LPN positions. I don't know about openings at other hospitals but there are many in the area you can try, and all are great! VCU, the VA, St. Mary's, Henrico Doctors, try the Virginia Womens Center at Henri...

Aww congrats everyone! I graduated VCU ABSN 2014 and am employed at VCU Health, about a year and 3 months into my career now. I was wait listed. I got pulled 5 weeks before it started. You all will love it! Feel free to ask questions.

Where are you located? I have heard of similar scholarships. What type of area do they consider applicable for your scholarship? And the NCLEX wasn't nearly as bad as the prep for it. My entire class of 84 minus one passed in 3 months on the first t...
