  1. How common are Latex foleys these days?

    Latex is the best choice if you dont have allergy. Lot more comfortable than 100% silicone foleys. Silicone is more rigid/hard. Not talking about the price...

    Catheter insertion without lube is a nightmare. Its also uncomfortable to wear it after a dry insertion. Feels like your urethra is burning. Hurts so much!!! For those ,who do it dry.. I wish they have it the same way!

    Its not uncomfortable. I had many insertions ,and never felt uncomfortable or pain while the cath pushed in me all the way. I think it's much more problematic if you dont push it far enough.

    Greetings! Has anyone here ,who wore a foley cath while inserting one to a patient? I have enlarged prostate and its often makes me wear catheters. Foley using made me much better at insertions and catheter care.
