Hello Everyone,
I will be covering the upper grades at my school this year. I have not specifically worked with these particular teachers before.
Should I have a "sit-down" meeting with them to go over clinic protocol and allow time for questions and answers regarding myself and the clinic ?
I want to work as a team with these teachers and I want them to feel open to discuss any concerns that they might have.
What do you do ?
TY :)

Yea, that would be a good idea but only if it is to spell out what the rules are and not ask for suggestions or opinions.

I usually get a few minutes out of one of the pre-first day staff meetings to run through my agenda.

Hello! I started as as a new school nurse in the middle of last year. This will be my first time talking with the staff at orientation about my expectations and agenda. My brain is still in summer mode. Does anyone have an outline or agenda they use that they wouldn't mind sharing with me? Thanks in advance!
I just remind them of our SOPs regarding referring kids to the clinic, what to do in an emergency, and that I'd be talking to any who have an IHP/IEP/504 thing that needs my involvement.
Just go through your section of the handbook but remind them your nursing assessment trumps the written word.
