I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand
Anyone here who is a PH-trained UK RN planning to migrate to Australia or is already in Australia? What are the chances of being accepted by AHPRA to avoid taking the bridging course if you only have undergone Overseas Nursing Programme? Which AHPRA office is the best to send your application to? Thanks!
This is more of the instruction from my ROCriterion 2 - Evidence of education institution accreditation: please download the Request for accreditation evidence – education institution under Accreditation evidence on the International application resources page of the NMBA website. Send this document to the education institution where you obtained your qualification and request that they provide the response directly to AHPRA as soon as possible.
· Criterion 3 - Evidence of program of study accreditation: please download the Request for accreditation evidence – program of study under Accreditation evidence on the International application resources page of the NMBA website. Send this document to the independent professional regulatory authority or agency that accredited the program of study you completed and request that they provide the response directly to AHPRA as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: the independent professional regulatory authority or agency is NOT your education institution. If you do not know who your independent professional regulatory authority or agency is, please contact your education institution for this information.
· Criterion 5 - Official confirmation from your education institution of the number of hours of workplace experience acquired during the time that you were studying.
· Criterion 6 - A certified copy of the course outline/ syllabus (translated into English if required) containing information on each of your nursing units.
· Criterion 7 - A certified copy of the academic transcript (translated into English if required) and any other supplementary documentation if available.· Criterion 8 - Certification from your education institution, provided directly to AHPRA, that you have successfully completed an assessment in medication management. This must be in the form of the following evidence:
- certified copies of the relevant course or unit outlines indicating the study and assessment undertaken in medication management, or
- if course or unit outlines are no longer available, an official letter from your education institution providing a breakdown of the content completed for medication management and the number of hours studied for each component.
Relevant courses must include the following units of study:
- pharmacokinetics (the study of the bodily absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs)
- pharmacodynamics (the study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs and the mechanisms of their action in the body)
- medication administration (including calculations), and
- quality use of medicines.
Please see the fact sheet for criterion 8 on the NMBA website for more information on meeting these requirements.
so, this is for your philippine and uk uni where you did your onp. In my case, city university of london onp programme leader made the transcript and he sent it directly to aphra. With the pharmacology, he asked me to have my module of pharmacology to be notarized and be sent to the uni so that he can attach it together with the transcripts as evidenced of my pharmacology
i completed all requirements by mar 20 and received my loe april 28 but with my friend, it took longer like after 3 months.
I am so happy for you, Danika! I wish I could be blessed with the same fate. I am requesting for documents from my uni in the UK to be sent to AHPRA but I am not really sure if they do issue course description with hours or medicine management/pharmacology. Which AHPRA office did you submit your application? Thanks!
Hi! Are you still in the UK and where are you now with regards to your application? I am as hopeful as you are that BP won't be required in our case.
Hey, Edsel! Yes, I am still in the UK. My visa will expire soon so I have no choice but to renew it. I haven't even lodged my application yet. Did you contact your ONP programme leader for the certification/course description? My uni only issued a transcript which I already have and will attach to my documents. Which AHPRA office did you send your application to? Thank you!
Hi! I have sent my documents to Philippines for them to be notarised as it is cheaper than here. I also did the IELTS exam and just waiting for the result. Fingers crossed.
Once everything's sorted, I plan to send it to their Canberra office. I called Kingston Uni re: transcript and pharmacology module and was told to wait until next week. I only asked for a course description from my University back home.
I have been waiting for my LOE from AHPRA for almost 7 weeks now. I hope to receive my LOE soon. I am in the Phils. I wanted to enroll for September intake in Melbourne. Any school you can recommend? IHNA is full for this year already. thank you.
Hi any news about your application? Thanks
Hi, I only look up either ETEA or IHNA. Those are the only BP school in Perth. So i'm hoping to get enrolled by the month of August or October or else I have to wait until next year. I do not want to go intestate as it would be expensive for me. Btw, where did you lodge your application? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I lodge my application in Melbourne but I am not yet sure to where will I do my bridging since my all of my friends are in Melbourne but my relatives is in Sydney. Also, I am still searching for the schools who offers BP. I just hope that Ahpra would process our application asap cause waiting really causes suffering. :) hmm. So you're already in Perth?
Hello everyone! I want to know if anyone has experience the same dilemma I am facing now.. I have completed all documents except for the cogs (from Qatar employer) because I have breached my contract (I had a three year contract and I resigned on my fourth year). I sent a copy of contract, payslips and reference letter from our nursing supervisor (in Qatar), and now Im waiting for my referral letter from AHPRA. Has anyone encountered such problem? Have you got a referral from AHPRA? Im so worried about this. Thanks

Yeah, I've heard about it but they don't release any confirmation just yet. But their intakes this year are already full so ETEA is the only choice.
