Hi there. I think we share the same sentiments about looking for an accommodation in sa. If you have time email me. [email protected].
hello scrubnurse1
my agent is reccomending homestay since , according to them, its cheaper.
Normally full board is provided (your own furnished room plus meals). Electricity, water and gas are included, too. Costs for full board are approximately $250 - $300 per week.
but i'm quite hesitant if its really the best option.
are you also for arntp oct intake at unisa?
Hello. I tried a consultancy firmand they said that aphra now requires atleast a minimum of 6 months working experience in australia so,they dont recommend bridging course and they prefer a client to take a 1 year nursing course or 2 yrs. Is it true?that was the first time i heard such kind of requirement.thanks[/quote']When I submitted my application to AHPRA last year, the requirement was atleast 1 year, not just 6 months. I think that consultancy is trying to lure you into enroling in a 2 year course because that means more money for them. If you have atleast 1 year of paid hospital experience, you don't need to take the 2year course. But if you talk about employment opportunities, it has really gotten harder; even for aus.citizens.

250-300 is way too expensive for a student. try to check gumtree. You can find cheaper rooms, and if it does not include your meal, you can just prepare your own, and it could save you money.

i'm not really familiar with gumtree. can you send a link so that i can check it out online? or can you recommend a specific place near unisa? thanks
hi stereo. can you recommend a place found in gumtree that is near unisa? the site is quite overwhelming, there are lots of offers for accommodation.
It's also hard to find accomodation in gumtree. There are scams too. You have to know someone from here to check the place for you. Maybe there are legit places to stay but just be careful.
