Can you explain further about the "you want to take the 1yr course for my future spouse"... i saw a one year nursing course in flinders uni. And i think deakin too. But why choose a one year course?

can i ask? did u already posted you CPD? i also lack this document. i have updates but no hard evidence. I saw the link sample of CPD portfolio. but do we need to attach certifates. i dont have any.

I'm going to attend/ have been attending updates offered by PNA and ANSAP. They issue certicates of attendance and I think it's best to get it ready just in case my case officer considers my application insufficient because of it.

well, technically they should have just one standard when it comes to credentials check. but in reality, it may depend on the assessor. when I applied (4th quarter of 2011) they just started to put stricter rules. course descriptions (if i remember it correctly) were not required but highly recommended. that time, there was a member here who did not submit it and was subsequently required to submit it. there were some who got LOE without it.

I did not undergo a bridging program. I was working in the US when I applied to AHPRA. So I got the exemption.

I have read in the previous pages that in any cAses you didnt got an all 7, u can still go to australia by taking 1 yr courses.

I am based in NSW.

Employment situation. I would say that there are still plenty of opportunities. There are nursing vacancies. The only thing is whether a nurse qualifies for that vacancy. It will all boil down to your experience and perseverance.

Just an advice, and this is for everyone. Once you finished your BP, apply to as many job vacancies as you can. Since I was in the US that time, all my job applications were done online. And don't drain your energy by just looking into the "popular" cities. Open yourselves to the possibilities of living or working in a regional area (even not rural/remote). It will serve as a stepping stone for yous. Also, once in a while look at the immigration website and see if you are qualified for an independent PR visa (subclass 189). Because even if you have zero experience, if you are able to meet the points, then you are eligible for a permanent resident visa without a sponsor.

Thank you for sharing...I have 2 more years experience and hope that would be enough to land a job specially in a dialysis unit. I'm also looking at subclass 189...I think I need 5 more pints for that. Still have to study the point system. Did you apply for subclass 189 or you had a sponsor?

2 years experience is actually a good start. most agencies require at least 2-3 years experience. if you need 5 more points (meaning you scored 55 at the current point-test), then you can apply to a state so they can sponsor you. State sponsorship will give you 5 points. But anyway, that's still quite a long journey for you. You still need your AHPRA registration, then ANMAC skills assessment, before you can apply for that.
