Hello All!
I recently gained some information about Med Life institute. They are an LPN-RN school (with other nursing programs as well) located in Florida which offers an online/blended format way to earn your RN. After speaking to the representative she told me you come to FL for a week take some tests and exams to begin classes then do the rest online. The clinical portion is held in New Jersey at an affiliated hospital then at the end of the program you come back to take some more tests and exit exam. The total program runs about 9 months
I checked the Florida BON and saw that the school is legit and you can test for you NCLEX RN after passing the courses. This blended format is new however with the first class beginning in August of this year. I was wondering if:
A. Anyone has any experience with MedLife
B. Anyone in in the August blended class
C. Anyone is in the midst of applying to the January 18 class like myself?
Thanks In Advance to ALL responses.

Hi Chanel, My cousin called the school for info. Program sounds great but unfortunately we couldn’t find it listed on the current approved Florida site. We see it was approved in the past but we can’t find the school on the Florida board as currently being approved. We are going to reach out to the board to find out if it is it will be a go thanks for info.

After I received my permission to test, I applied right in my home state so I wouldn't have to get endorsed later, so I didn't go through Florida. One of my classmates had a problem with hers becuz she went through Florida and now trying to get endorsed in New Jersey and they're giving her a hard time
What do you mean when you say applied? You mean applied to take the nclex in your state and you were all set?

It depends what state you are boarding/applying to some states will not accept the online programs in that case you will have to board in Florida and transfer the license to the state you will choose to work in. I would check with the state you plan to work in to make sure they will accept the online to be safe.

Not sure I’m in NY no problems. I do know Pa has problems with online. You best check with the ct board first. You will still be able to license in Florida if they say no and just transfer the license to ct. Just will take you a little longer to do it that way just check with your ct board to get right info.

Hi, how long is the program? How many times do you have to travel to florida?
